Alarm went off at 3:00 AM PST. Woke up at 3:15AM PST. Left Carlsbad at 4:45AM PST, got to the WallyPark parking garage at 5:30 AM PST. Took the shuttle into the airport where I arrived at 5:45AM PST. Made my way through security then boarded at 6:30AM. We took off from San Diego at 7AM PST. We made a pit stop in Denver to drop off some folks and pick up others. We then continued on to Memphis, Tennessee. I got off the plane at 2:15PM CST. I picked up my rental car then drove to Olive Branch, Mississippi, which is about 30 minutes outside of Memphis. I arrived to my hotel in Olive Branch at 2:50PM CST.
I looked for food near my hotel and these were my options: fast food, Mexican, or BBQ. I settled for a planet-based burger for lunch. It’s processed, but better than the alternatives. I looked through my emails and responded to the most imminent ones. I’ve been feeling very sleepy since I landed, but have been pushing off sleep so I don’t experience one of those situations where I awaken at 3AM by random chance. For dinner, I grabbed some stuff from Kroger’s (the grocery store) – it’s a good option if you’re traveling and don’t feel like going to a restaurant/eating out. Tomorrow, I’ll conduct a visit at a clinic here in Olive Branch then head right back to San Diego. I should be back home at 11PM PST. This visit is important because my manager will be observing me.
I don’t have anything much else to say because it would require mental energy I currently don’t possess. About to do a quick yoga session and some resistance band work in a bit, then shower, skin care routine, bed. I mostly wrote this post to: (1) Not have too many days pass since I last blogged, and (2) To share the beautiful scenery on today’s flight. I last visited Rocky Mountain National Park in September 2017. It’s one of my favorite places in the US. Hope you’re having a lovely day/night, wherever you may be. I’ll be in Minnesota, Monday through Thursday of next week.
